Story 12: The Game

I plopped down on the couch, eyeing Tori skeptically. "Are you sure this is how you want to settle who gets to date Jake?" I asked.

Jake was the star quarterback at our college and had expressed interest in both Tori and me. But since we were best friends, we agreed that only one of us could pursue him. Tori nodded, her short blonde hair reflecting the dim light of the room.

"Playing Truth or Dare is the perfect way to figure it out," she insisted, adjusting her big round glasses. "Whenever one of us refuses to answer a truth, or balks on a dare, they lose, then the winner gets to ask Jake out on a date."

I huffed, knowing full well that Tori loved computer games and programming, and tended to approach things strategically. "It'd be easier to flip a coin," I muttered, but I couldn't help but agree to her terms.

We each sat at opposite ends of the couch, legs tucked beneath us. I let Tori go first, watching as she bit her lip in concentration. "Truth or Dare?" she asked, her voice soft but determined.

"Truth," I replied, trying to keep my cool.

"Have you ever had a crush on one of my boyfriends?" Tori asked, her blue eyes searching mine for any hint of deception.

I shook my head without hesitation. "Nope, never," I said confidently. "All your boyfriends have been too nerdy for me." I tried to suppress a grin, thinking about how different Jake was from the guys Tori usually dated.

Tori glared at me, her gaze penetrating. "It's against the rules to lie, you know," she warned.

"I'm not lying," I reassured her, meeting her intense stare. "Honestly, Jake is the only guy that we've both ever fancied." I could feel my cheeks warming up, but I knew Tori couldn't argue with that.

"Alright, your turn," I said, smirking at Tori. "Truth or Dare?"

"Dare," she replied, pushing her glasses up on her nose.

I paused, thinking of something that would challenge her. "Show me the last sexy picture you took of yourself," I dared.

Tori rolled her eyes. "I don't usually take nudes, you know." She pulled out her phone and scrolled through her gallery. Eventually, she found a mirror shot of herself wearing pink lingerie, her toned stomach on display. My breath hitched slightly as I admired her body in the photo.

"Damn, Tori, you look hot. Your stomach is so slim!" I complimented, unable to hide my appreciation.

She laughed, brushing off my comment. "Your turn again – Truth or Dare?"

"Dare," I said, feeling a bit more adventurous.

"Alright then," Tori said, grinning mischievously. "Lick your foot."

"Really?" I groaned, rolling my eyes. "You're so childish." But as I yanked off my sock, I stared her down, determined to prove that I was up for the challenge. Running my tongue along the arch of my foot, I couldn't help but think about Jake and how far I'd go for him.

"Wow," Tori exclaimed, clearly impressed. "You must really want Jake."

"Your turn," I said, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.
